Your Computer:
South Princeton hosts computer LAN parties- so bring your own computer. There will be no computers provided for you at this event, so it is important that you have your own and that it is powerful enough to run the games you want to play. You must have an Anti-Virus program installed on your computer. This is not optional. Anyone found without anti-virus will be disconnected from the network. If you do not have an anti-virus program, you can get AVG, a free AV program. Please run a full scan with your AV program before coming to the LAN.
Monitor:
Make sure you bring your own monitor as well. Like computers, we will not be supplying any monitors. It doesn’t matter what monitor you bring: LCD or CRT are both ok. We’ll probably make fun of you if you bring a CRT, but we’re all friends here, right?
Headphones:
Due to the number of attendees expected at events, space will be at a premium, so headphones will be the only audio allowed. Please do not bring your speakers (unless you want to give them away as a prize)!
Accessories:
Don’t forget your mouse, keyboard and all of your power cords for your computer. Its pretty obvious that you would bring these things, but its odd how many people forget to bring them in the rush. Also, don’t forget to bring an Ethernet cable!! (15′ min. 25′ recommended) Someone might have extras, but be sure that you double check before you come.
Games:
Bring the games you want to play. Any game found under the “What We Play” section will probably be at the lan. If you have a favorite game that you like playing that is not on the list you are welcome to bring it- others may also have that game. Simply ask in our forum and you should find someone willing and eager to play. Also, check the forums or the website for any possible tournament games that will be played.
Drinks:
Everyone is responsible for bringing their own drinks. There is a vending machine on site, but it would be cheaper to bring your own 2 liter. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed at LAN events.
Food:
Due to an increase in the venue fee, we no longer provide dinner for lan parties. There are several restaurants that are close by. You might want to bring something to snack on as well.
Miscellaneous Items:
-Powerstrip
-Mousepad
-Power Cords
-Flash Drive
A Good Attitude:
Remember, you’ll have as much fun as you want to have. Come in ready to have fun with a good positive attitude and you shouldn’t be let down! Also, RESPECT others property and just each other in general. We don’t want to have to remove anyone from the LAN, but disrespect towards others or their computers will result in dismissal from the LAN.
